The RENASYS canister should be changed when full or at a minimum of once a week. A new canister should be used for every new patient.
Disposal of the canister should be as per local protocol for potentially infected or bio-hazardous materials.

No, the RENASYS F/AB dressing kit is specially licenced for use only with the RENASYS EZ PLUS device.
- After powering the device down, apply normal saline into the wound dressing and let it soak for 15-30 minutes before gently removing the foam. Dispose of the dressing in accordance with local guidelines.
- If adherence is a risk consider using a non-adherent layer to line the wound prior to applying the foam dressing
